GracefulFusion offers a full spectrum of services to honor patients at the end of their lives. Our end of life doula services are built on empathy, professionalism, and respect. No two experiences are the same, so be sure to explore all our offerings.
Our packages are tailored to each client based on where that person is in the dying process, their individual wishes, and the amount of support needed by family and caregivers.
Our Process
Initial Consultation
This free, 30-minute consultation is designed to be our first step in the process. We will meet, discuss your wants and needs, then work together to decide how we can best support you and your family.
Medical Aid in Dying Support
As an experienced compassionate presence, I support people in the District of Columbia to seek out and pursue medical aid in dying. I will sit with patient and family during the hours of death as a guide and support person.
Advanced Directives
During our next step, we will go in-depth into your personal wishes and end-of-life choices. We will work together to develop and go over your personalized plan.
Life Review and Vigil Planning
In these advanced sessions, we begin by discussing your goal, vision, and the support you desire for your vigil. After, we will write your vigil plan, then begin to move into a greater understanding of your life and legacy—bringing meaning and awareness to your life’s impact and what we need to do to celebrate your time on earth. Each visit will be concluded with personalized guided imagery and meditation to offer soothing, preparative transition practice.
We will walk beside you throughout this ongoing process, and when death is imminent, we will assist you and your loved ones in initiating your vigil plan.
This package is designed to give you peace and inner clarity throughout an emotional and chaotic time. We want you to feel empowered and in control during these final stages of your journey and encourage celebration over fear.
Vigil Planning Plus Legacy Work
This advanced package includes everything listed in the Life Review and Vigil Planning services. In addition, the doulas will work with you and/or your support system to develop legacy project(s), then bring those ideas to life.
A legacy project is a practical, physical memorial designed for loved ones to be able to connect with you after death. A legacy project not only carries memories into the future, but can also serve as a deep, empathetic way to explore a dying person’s life.
The goal of these visits is to leave you with a sense of inner peace and clarity. You will feel both present and connected as we celebrate your personal journey and the beautiful legacy you’re leaving for your loved ones.
